Beatrice B

The pleasure of a journey, the dream of a meeting between different customs, linking the past and the present: these are the cardinal points of the stylistic inspiration of the new SS18 Beatrice B collection.

The perspective of this collection consists of linking diversity, which makes an impression while forming unique and individual pairings. It is this link that reveals the Beatrice B woman and her strong personality.

Spring takes on hues of cobalt blue in fluid fil coupè for jackets and trousers, which become illuminated alongside the curry yellow, between "mattress" lines and the geometric leaf and flower print on dresses, jackets and "pyjama" trousers. Viscose fine stripe knitwear with corolla cuffs are the glam touch of the mood.

Rush stitch jackets with ecru, pink and silver lurex threads, and fringed edges with a couture flavour, are played down by poplin and powder pink macramé for everyday pieces. The play of contrasts between the sweetness of the pink macramé and gritty denim is interesting, with its special treatments and split hems. Unmistakable cady silk crépe is tinged with blush and pale pink where black profiles and bands create contrasts with a strong character. The mix with dresses and fluid cupro shirts with country chic prints impeccably tops off the mood.

A black and white corner introduces summer, where bandana motifs are combined with pleated inserts and transparent lace details. Irregular stripes, as if directly painted on the fabric, pair with cotton poplin with a macro flower print, in solid tones with details of small rouches, on the collars and cuffs of chemisier dresses and oversized shirts.

Trendy and impactful, it moves in a world of white and blue lines taken from the men's wardrobe, but with applications of ultra-feminine models in half-circle dresses with a hint of the 1950's: from shirts with micro rouches to pockets and voluminous skirts with diagonal lines. Everything is made more pleasing by a group of satin stitched blue and black flowers and retro cotton trimmings, placed on each piece. The freshness of white cotton and navy blue bring the Cannes seafront to mind.

The dream summer closes the collection with an explosion of colour and lightweight materials, from an ethno chic dressing gown and "pyjama" trousers in silk crepe de chine, to linen sweaters with bajadera stripes with lurex details. Amber-coloured linen is found in jumpsuits, dresses and shirts, smartly embroidered with shoots of blue leaves, with knitted collars and cuffs that make it sophisticated. Long dresses and tops in printed cupro with fuchsia hibiscus and green and blue leaves coordinate perfectly.

The graphic drawing of tropical flowers and hummingbirds on viscose with a black hem completes the mood, and is applied to portfolio dresses, jumpsuits, oversized trousers and tops with finishing touches on the knitted collars and cuffs, with lurex fine stripes for a very cool touch. Cotton gabardine dresses, shirts and trousers in silk jungle green and aquamarine crepe de chine enhance the colour of the print, illuminating it and playing with a pleated multicolour line on long dresses for a warm summer evening.
